Martial art attribute assessment
In this article i'd like you to step outside-of-the-box and asses yourself using an honest and intelligent approach. This assessment is used for your own self-development so be as honest and consistent as possible.
When you're talking about fighting, as it is, with no rules, well then, baby you'd better train every part of your body!
Using the list of martial art attributes from my other article we can take a look at what parts of our martial art we excel in - and what parts require more training.
Rate yourself from 0-to-10 for each of the below. 10 being the best.
You should now have a good idea of what you think you are good and not good at. This can be quite a refreshing experience and very rewarding if you rated yourself good at a couple of things. Now you must look at the lower ratings and see how you can improve them.
It is no good having a score 9 for speed, if you rate yourself a 3 for strength and power. Just like it is no good to have a rating of 9 for strength and power if you have a rating of 2 for endurance and stamina.
As a human being, we are all different. It isn't possible to be 10/10 for each of the above attributes. Each individual will always excel in a couple of things, it is down to you to be the best you can at each, whilst still maintaining your greatest assets!
